It strikes me as odd that an adult would think he/she could write something and post it on the Internet for himself and a few friends. We talk about teens doing this, but I had hoped that adults knew better!
Odd, too, that a blogger would think that "deleting" a blog would make it disappear. It lives on in cache-land, although in that existence readers can't make comments that make the writer feel abused and misunderstood.
